CAMA  Board Members

NANCY J. (Staub) SUTER

Nancy was born and raised in south central Pennsylvania in York County.   She retired as a manager from the PA Department of Transportation after 20 years of service and moved to Florida in 1994 with her husband, Simeon who is a retired military veteran and is also retired from State service.  She is an active member of the Community Church of Keystone Heights, along with her husband and is a group facilitator and volunteers with various childrens programs.   She feels so bless to share her God-given talent of singing and her organizational skills with others.  Her love for the Lord leads her to carry on her witness for Him and to proclaim the Lord through the Christian Artist's Music Association, Inc. (CAMA), of which she is the Founder and President, a Non-profit 501(c)(3) association within the State of Florida.

Around 10 years old, Nancy started singing with her sisters; Dorothy, Donna & Shirley in 3 part harmony and sang in various churches in Pennsylvania and Maryland.   She remembers when she was 8 years old that she dreamed of being up in front of the crowd singing with her sisters, even though that was difficult for her since she was very shy and the fear was deafning at times, but she still wanted to sing for the Lord.  Nancy's love for spiritual music and the traditional hymns are still a strong presence in her heart today.  Nancy's mom, Thelma Miller-Staub was a constant and loving supporter of her daughters singing and traveled with them to various venues.

In 2001 Nancy became the Secretary/Treasurer of the Southern Gospel Music Association of Putnam County (SGMA of PC) and worked with Tom Strickland, a talented singer from the southern gospel group "The Scriptures" and Aldon Adams, a man of God that loves gospel music.  The two mem were the founders of the non-profit association.  In 2005 Nancy  decided to end her tenure with the organization, even though she and her husband Simeon continued as financial supporters and volunteers.  It was then Nancy started to compile everything she needed to begin the new non-profit organization for local singers.

CAMA was born in February of 2006 out of her love for music and especially for those individuals and music minsistries that were struggling to get their music out to the community.  Two talented people played a vital part of her inspiration to begin this music ministry was . . . Chad Anderson of St. Augustine,FL - a singer/songwriter of country/southern gospel & bluegrass music and Melanie McQuaig-Dolezel of Middleburg, FL - a singer/songwriter of bluegrass & southern gospel.  Nancy felt God's tug on her heart for this ministry and she is dedicated to encourage beginning and existing music ministries to progress to the next level and for them to strive to be a success to be a witness.

Nancy says, she wants to help those who have built walls and boundaries out of fear or low self-esteem which can affect their talent level for singing and playing, and those ministries that aren't quite sure where to go next with their ministries.  She knows from experience that without the love and support of her God, family; especially her husband Simeon, friends and neighbors she would not be in the place she is today.  She is loving life with God in charge every minute of the day and that gives her strength to do what she loves to do best and that is to sing for Him and to help others accomplish their success and goals for Him.

I would like to "THANK" all the singers, musicians, and the CAMA Board Members; Sam Midgett, Gerald Winskie, Sr, Gail Wiltse and J. Trent Higginbotham, and association volunteers for dedicating their time and effort for the Lord, and also to those financial and concert supporters for helping CAMA bring the best of what we have to offer to our Lord and Savior.   A special "THANKS" to Jerry & Trent for the love and financial support in helping me to get the association to level ground.

Please keep the association in your daily prayers for spiritual guidance, wisdom and financial support, and for it's singers/musicians.  God's blessings be upon you now and evermore.
